On November 3, 2026, the following positions will be open for re-election in the City of Roanoke: Three city council seats.

Key Dates for 2026 Election

Thursday June 18, 2026: Early in-person voting at the Roanoke City Office of Voter Registration and Elections begins and continues Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Friday, July 24, 2026 - Last day to apply for an absentee ballot to be mailed for the August 4, 2026, Primary Election.

Saturdays, July 25 and August 1, 2026 - Early in person voting for Democratic Primary.

Tuesday, August 4, 2026 - Election Day - Democratic Primary. Polls are open from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
